![]() ![]() This is great first person shooter from this generation of gaming or for any generation. Another good thing is the length, as exploring this vast facility seems to never end. What I like about this game is that it has good lighting, no scrambling for flashlights, most games like this is in the dark. Later in the game you'll need to venture outside into the desert. The environment really stands out as the game takes place mostly inside this research facility which is quite diverse interesting to make your way through. ![]() This where the grenade launcher comes in the handy. is very good as you can tell your friends what to do they'll do it and the enemies especially the special forces will talk to each other and attack you with coordination or take cover and shoot at you. The government sends in special forces to clean up the mess and they've come to kill aliens and humans alike. The human enemies however are very tough. The aliens early on aren't too tough but become more difficult as the game progresses. T he researchers will give you first aid or help you solve puzzles and the security guards will fight and they hold their own. Other characters will help and fight with you at times. Quickly you'll find a handgun and shotgun and as the game progresses an assault rifle with a grenade launcher (my favorite) rocket launchers, landmines, sticky bombs and even alien weapons later in the game. What to do now? Pickup the nearest crowbar and first-aid kit survive the best you can. Of course this research goes wrong and now the entire facility is crawling with aliens. You begin the game as a researcher and it's your first day on the job at a secret government research facility set in the American southwest desert. Perhaps one of the best first person shooters of all time, Half-Life comes alive with cool and exciting environments, interesting characters, fun and creative gameplay, customizable settings, and tough enemies. A copy of this classic is just what should be added to your collection of games. It's easy to see why this title won multiplayer awards on both the PC and PlayStation systems. The enhanced graphics and exclusive modes are the definitive way to experience this classic game. As you play through the game, you'll notice it runs smoothly. The character models have individual, jointed fingers as well. The characters also feature more detailed facial expressions and are more capable of showing anger, fear, and annoyance. Both the humans and enemies have eyes that will track your movement across a room. In particular, each character model received a massive overhaul. Each section of the game received new textures and improved models. The most noticeable of these is the graphical facelift the title received. Instead, the game always moves forward with the entire game being interconnected.The PS2 version isn't just a straight port as it includes a number of improvements. Meanwhile, the G-man watches over your gaming progress. Build a staircase out of abandoned supplies or complete a maze of moving conveyor belts to move forward in the game. This shooter offers a single-player style that challenges both shooting skills and puzzle solving. The story is identical to the original release, and the same enemies are present and accounted for. This version of "Half-Life" on the PS2 includes everything you'd find on the PC version. In 2001, Valve, with the help of Gearbox Software, ported the title to the PlayStation 2. This facility also happens to be filled with hostile aliens and government agents bent on keeping their terrible secrets.
